Stuck on a question? Snap it.
Anva's AI doubt solver reads a photo of the question from your book and solves it one step at a time. Each step comes with the reason it works, so you can do the next one yourself.
How it works
- Open Doubts in the app and take a photo of the question, or type it.
- Anva writes down the values it's been given.
- It solves the question step by step and says why each step is allowed.
- Still confused? Ask a follow-up in your own words, or ask for the idea to be explained more simply.
A worked example
Question: A ball is thrown vertically upwards with a speed of 20 m/s from the top of a tower 25 m high. Find the time taken by the ball to reach the ground. (Take g = 10 m/s²)
Given: u = 20 m/s upwards, h = 25 m, g = 10 m/s²
Step 1: Take up as positive. The ball ends 25 m below where it started, so −25 = 20t − 5t². This uses s = ut − ½gt², and the displacement is downward.
Step 2: Rearrange: t² − 4t − 5 = 0, so (t − 5)(t + 1) = 0.
Answer: t = 5 s. We reject t = −1 s, since time can't be negative.
Why the "why" matters
Copying a final answer doesn't help much in an exam. In the example above, the step that trips most people up is the sign of the displacement. Once you see why it's −25 and not +25, you can solve the next ten questions like it.
A note on accuracy
The answers come from AI, and AI can make mistakes, especially with a blurry photo or an unusual question. If a step looks wrong, ask about it, and check anything important against your textbook or teacher.
